SEEING HARRY STYLES IN REAL LIFE | Concert experience

A wise woman once said “you love your faves so much before meeting or seeing them and then after u get to experience that it’s like u love them even more and get even more attached you suddenly just feel so close to them and u have this constant feeling of missing them and it’s the worst and best feeling” and I completely agree with her.

After seeing one of my idols live I feel even more “connected” to them. I know it may sound silly but after going to Harry’s concert on the 27th of March 2018 in Munich, I’ve become an even bigger fangirl. When the lights went down and Harry came on stage, everyone was just so overwhelmed and happy. I felt like I belonged there and it almost felt like home. Singing in unity with thousands of other fans was just an indescribable feeling. Although our seats were in the back (which kinda sucked) and we arrived just when Mabel (the opening act) played her last song it was one of the best experiences of my life. I don’t really have words for it and am trying to not make this blog post unpleasant or boring to read. So, I hope you stay till the end of this post.
I don’t know what to talk next so I’ll just talk about the fashion because that’s something I am used to do. Harry wore a (I think it was Calvin Klein) purple suit, a black tank top and white platform shoes. The trousers were purple in the front and orange in the back. I can tell you it looked absolutely stunning. There were around five merchandise stands and I literally went to all of them because some items were already sold out at the first ones. I however, luckily still got some stuff. I am not going to describe all of them to you ‘cause that may be a bit boring for you since this is not a haul.
I was a little insecure when deciding to whether go for the red or purple hoodie but now I am so glad that I got the purple one because a few minutes after buying it Harry went with that also purple suit on stage. Wow I didn’t realise it would sound that cringe-worthy. Anyway, coming back to fashion, let me talk you through my outfit very quick. I wore some black old skool Vans (the Directioners will understand why I wore those), some high waisted mom jeans and of course my One Direction band t-Shirt from their first ever ‘Up All Night’ tour back in 2011.
Now, moving on to what actually happened at the concert. Harry’s opening was just insane. The whole arena was super light and we heard the intro of ‘Only Angel’. Then suddenly it went dark again and Harry began to sing. He played all his songs from his album and also a few more like ‘Just a little bit of your heart’ which he had written for Ariana Grande, ‘The Chain’ and ‘If I could fly’, ‘Stockholm Syndrome’ and ‘What makes you beautiful’ by 1D which I was very excited about. In between the break they also played ‘Olivia’ by 1D as well and everyone was singing along even though it was just from the stereo. A lot of fangirls cried (including me) but you know ‘in a cool way’ and my cheeks were red the entire concert long. I literally had goose bumps for three hours straight.
When he was about to sing his last few songs he said ‘Tschüss’ and from one moment to the other he disappeared. The girl next to me was so confused and asked me “What?! That’s it? Where is ‘Kiwi’? I thought he was supposed to sing it!”. But she wasn’t the only one who was thinking that. Me and probably thirty thousands of others were wondering what was going on. Some of them were already shouting ‘Kiwi’. And then finally he went back on stage and we were singing so loud that you couldn’t hear him anymore. But when WMYB went on it was even worse. I feel like, Harry knew that the crowd would sing along that loud because he said “If you know the words to any song tonight I pray that it’ll be the next one. Let’s go!” And we all knew which song was the next one.
That night was so emotional for everyone in the crowd and probably for Harry too. There was so much going on. In one second he was in the middle of the crowd, in the next we saw posters of Zayn (yes, Zayn, I think, we all know the reason for that), he changed the lyrics to one song and then he was pleasing us with these words “You all look fabulous tonight.” and “Things like this don’t happen to boys like me, and it’s absolutely 100% down to you. And I thank you so much for everything, thank you for coming to see me. Thank you for all your support of the last 7/8 years or the last 2 years, I would be nothing without you and I owe you my entire life so thank you each every single one of you here tonight. Thank you very very much.” You can imagine how heart breaking this is for more than 40 000 Harry stans.
As the concert was over we went to the tube station and at that moment I realised how many people came to see the same person as me. The tube was full of people having the same idol as me and loving the same as me.
I could go on forever but this post is already too long (it’s more than 1000 words…oops…) so I have to end it know.
I highly recommend going to one of Harry’s concerts even if you’re not a diehard fan as I am one. I promise you’ll love him after going to the concert anyway.
I am so so glad that I had the opportunity to see him live and am very thankful for everything. I am already wanting to go back or go to another concert or all of his concerts.
While reading this post and going through his "qoutes", I can hear him again and seeing pictures on the internet now is so different when after seeing him in real life. I know that I sound silly and weird again...
I am sorry this blog post was so extremely long but I just had the feeling to write everything down and share it with you. I hope you enjoyed it anyway. Thank you so much if you’ve really made it this far. It means the world to me.

Lots of love,
Victoria xx
